Recently, one of my patients asked, “Well how often do you think that I need to detox? “
I said, “I don’t know. How often are you exposed to toxins?”
Well, the reality is that we’re exposed to toxins constantly. So, detox should be part of your normal self-care routine.
Bentonite clay can be used both internally and externally. It’s a good, cheap, and easy way to support ongoing detox.
There are 2 types:
- Sodium Bentonite which is best for external uses such as facial masks and some types of dermatitis
- Calcium Bentonite which is best for internal uses to help detoxify the gut
Make sure you do your homework. Some of them will say for external use only. So, for internal uses make sure it is “Food Grade”.
